Diligente Technologies (“Diligente,” “we,” “us”) is a women-owned IT staffing and recruiting firm based in San Francisco. We connect technology professionals with the companies that hire them. That work runs on personal information — résumés, work history, payroll details — so we treat it with the same care our banking and enterprise clients expect from their own suppliers.
This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to visitors to diligentetechnologies.com, candidates and job applicants, the consultants we place, and the people we work with at client and partner companies.
In short: we do not sell personal information. We share a candidate’s profile with an employer only to present them for a role. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who this policy covers
- Website visitors — anyone browsing our site.
- Candidates — people who apply for a role, send us a résumé, or whom we contact about an opportunity.
- Consultants — people we place with clients.
- Client and partner contacts — the hiring managers, procurement teams and vendors we work with.
Diligente’s own employees receive a separate workforce privacy notice.
What we collect
| Category | Examples | Who it applies to |

| Work authorization | Visa or work-authorization status, Form I-9 documents | Consultants; candidates only where a role requires it |
| Background check results | Employment, education and criminal-history checks, with your separate written consent | Candidates and consultants, where a client requires it |
| Payroll and tax information | Social Security or taxpayer number, date of birth, bank details for direct deposit, tax withholding | Consultants |

Social Security numbers, government ID, bank details and background-check results are sensitive personal information. We collect them only when needed to employ and pay you or to meet a client’s screening requirements, and only use them for those purposes.
Where it comes from. Mostly from you. We also collect professional information that you have made public — for example on LinkedIn or job boards — and information from references you give us, background-check providers you authorize, and the clients you interview with.
How we use it
- To match candidates with roles and present them to the client employers who have engaged us.
- To run interviews, offers and onboarding, including the screening a client requires.
- To employ and pay the consultants we place, and to meet tax, immigration and employment-law obligations.
- To manage our relationships with clients and partners, including invoicing and supplier onboarding.
- To respond to inquiries and, if you have asked for them, send job alerts and newsletters.
- To keep our systems secure, prevent fraud and comply with the law.
We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to these without telling you first.
AI and automated tools in recruiting
Like most recruiting firms, we use software — Zoho Recruit (our applicant-tracking system), LinkedIn Recruiter and Dice — to organize résumés, search our database and find candidates for a role.
A Diligente recruiter reviews every candidate before they are submitted to a client, and no hiring decision is made by an automated system alone. We do not use tools that infer race, gender, age, disability or other protected characteristics. If you have questions about how a tool was used in your application, or want a human to review a decision, email admin@diligentetechnologies.com.
How we share it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these situations:
- Client employers. With your agreement, we send your profile to the company considering you for a role. We share only what is relevant to that role, and we never submit you to a client without telling you first.
- Service providers who work on our behalf under contract — for example our payroll provider (Paychex), applicant-tracking and recruiting tools, background-check providers, our email platform (Mailchimp), and our hosting and IT providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Government agencies, where the law requires it — for example tax authorities and E-Verify.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights and safety of Diligente, our candidates, our clients or others.
- Business transfers — if Diligente is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own site, so visiting it does not send your information to third parties.
If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this section first and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request.
Text messages and calls
With your consent, our recruiters may contact you by phone or text about roles that match your experience. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is never a condition of being considered for a role.
How long we keep it
- Candidate profiles: while you are an active candidate and for as long afterwards as is reasonably needed to consider you for future roles — unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Consultant employment and payroll records: for as long as employment, tax and immigration laws require (generally three to seven years after employment ends).
- Client and partner contacts: for the length of the business relationship and a reasonable period afterwards.
How we protect it
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — including access controls, encryption of sensitive records and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects your information.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that is inaccurate,
- delete your information, subject to legal records we must keep, and
- stop sending you marketing emails or texts.
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, along with the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of them. They also apply to candidates, consultants and business contacts. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their own laws.
To make a request, email admin@diligentetechnologies.com, or write to us at 345 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94104. We will verify your identity before acting on it, and respond within 45 days. You may also use an authorized agent.
Where we process information
We are based in the United States and serve clients and candidates in the United States, Canada and India. Part of our recruiting team works outside the US, so your information may be accessed or processed outside the country where you live. Wherever that happens, the protections in this policy apply.
Children
Our services are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
